The CUCM Administration web interface provides the following functions:
■ System configuration, including CUCM groups, presence groups, device mobility
groups, device pools, regions, locations, phone security profile, and so on
■ Call-routing configuration, including dial rules, route patterns, call hunting, time-ofday
routing, partitioning and CSS, intercom, call park, call pickup, and so on
■ Media resource configuration, including conference bridges, transcoders, music on
hold (MOH), media termination points (MTP), and so on
■ Voice-mail configuration
■ Device configuration, including gateways, gatekeepers, trunks, IP phones, and so on
■ Application configuration, including manager - assistant, attendant console, and so on
■ User management, including end users, application users, groups, and role
configuration
When accessing the CUCM Administration web interface, shown in Figure 4-4, the CUCM
administrator must log in with the CCMAdministrator username and password. The initial
Communications Manager administrator account is created during installation. Additional
CM administrator accounts can be created from the CUCM Administration web interface
by assigning the appropriate user group to the user. This is covered in a later chapter with
multilevel administration (MLA). The CUCM Administration page is available at https://
<ip-address>/ccmadmin.

Cisco Unified Serviceability Interface
The Cisco Unified Serviceability web interface provides the following functions:
■ Configure alarms, logs, and traces (for monitoring and troubleshooting CUCM).
■ Configure call details records (CDR) disk storage and external billing servers. CUCM
can create CDRs and call management records (CMR), providing detailed information
about call activities and voice quality. Using CUCM Serviceability, an administrator
can limit the disk space used for these records and configure CUCM to copy or move
these files containing CDRs and CMRs to external billing servers using the Secure File
Transfer Protocol (SFTP).
■ Activate, deactivate, start, stop, and restart network and feature services.
■ Configure Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) settings.
■ Configure serviceability reports. Serviceability reports are automatically created every
night and allow system analysis based on monitored objects. CUCM administrators
can obtain the generated reports from the CUCM Serviceability web pages.
The CUCM Serviceability web interface is accessible via the Navigation drop-down menu
on any of the GUI web interfaces except the user web interface. Figure 4-6 shows the
Navigation menu.

CUCM Administrator user has access to the Serviceability menu.

Disaster Recovery System
The CUCM Disaster Recovery System web interface provides the following functions:
■ Write backups to a physical tape drive or remote SFTP server
■ Support full cluster backups
■ Support ad hoc backup and restore jobs
■ Support scheduled backups
Figure 4-8 Cisco Unified Serviceability Menu Options
The CUCM Disaster Recovery System web interface can be accessed only by a platform
administrator. The initial platform administrator account is created during installation of
the CUCM product. During the installation of CUCM, the installer must configure a username
and password for both the CallManager administration and the operating system
administration. Security best practices mandate these accounts use a different username,
but the username of the platform and operating system administrators can be the same.
Additional platform administrator accounts can be created only from the CUCM CLI using
the set account command.
The CUCM Disaster Recovery System web page is accessible via the Navigation dropdown
menu shown in Figure 4-6 or via https://<ip-address>/drf. Figure 4-9 shows the
Disaster Recovery System login page.
